Billing and payments, simple as handing cash
Memory is the leading Uruguayan enterprise in management solutions for companies and accountant studios, and in 2016 they decided to take a step forward and bring their services to the hands of as many clients as they could.
Bills, bills, bills
Memory teamed up with us looking for a way to make their service as accessible as possible to their clients, and provide them with new an automatic, and easy way to create and emit bills.
Development & partnership
We worked with Memory for a year in developing the first electronic billing system in the country. We also created Express Bills, a platform created for users to pay simple bills and receive their paycheck online. The project is still under our constant maintenance and surveillance.

Roomating done right
UX & UI
When people share expenses, whether it’s in a household between roommates, a group of friends throwing a party, or families going on a trip, it’s usual to find someone who feels that they’ve spent more money, and troubles arise because of this. SplitSpend is the solution to every money-splitting related issue.
SplitSpend is all about preserving relationships in a good place by maintaining expense sharing equal and fair. We took care of creating a new identity that looked up to date yet timeless and expressed through visual elements, the feeling of caring for their users, and viewing everyone as equal.
Guiding users from the very first moment they come into contact with the app, in a friendly yet loose way, is planting the seed for a long lasting relationship.
Divided into three parts - Recent activity, Shopping list, and History - the Dashboard offers the main features of the app at first glance. The Recent tab gives an overall view of the personal and group finances, including personal balance, missing items notifications, overall progress, and a preview of the recent purchases and who made them.
The Shopping List is the core of the app, helping every group organize the items that have to be purchased. For example, users are allowed to create lists for different rooms in a household, including or excluding users from specific items by just clicking on their photo. This way, when the purchase is made, they’re automatically taken into account -or not- for the group balance.

Customer tracking, simple as it gets

Marketing, team and product management, re-defined
MOBILE & WEB APP
Bimbo is the biggest LATAM bread provider, with over X years on their shoulders, and over X countries in their hands, they needed a tailored solution that would transform the way their employees carry out their duties.
Assessing the core issue
Every Bimbo supervisor is in charge of checking the different salespoints, in order to maintain the quality associated with their products. The data volume they manage in these controls is big, to say the least, and the handwriting process is time consuming and limiting.
Benefits for every area
Through our app, they can check every salespoint in a quick, with the advantage of including pictures in their reports. This also guarantees real-time available data in the backend web app, so managers can take action as soon as possible. The app then becomes a fundamental tool that provides them with access to updated contracts, promotions, etc.

Instant debit card assignment, delivery on demand
WEB APP
Scotiabank is one of the world-renowned banks and they worked alongside us in the creation of a web app that solved a crucial problem for their customers.
Adapting to new rules
Every time a company hires a new employee in Uruguay, due to laws, an account associated with a debit card must be created so employees can cash out their salaries through a safe method, and so the request for debit cards increased. Every request for a new account used to require employees to be physically present at one of the branches of the bank, and Scotiabank wanted to craft a solution that would allow their clients to request debit cards from anywhere, anytime, as well as setting up the delivery of the cards.
Get your card anytime, anywhere
We created a web platform for debit card assignment, associated with paycheck accounts. Users can request their card by submitting their personal data. Once the previous step is done, a request for a new account is activated in the bank, as well as setting the delivery of the product. The main goal is engaging clients in a systematic way, with benefits for both the user and the company. Users don’t have to waste time going to the bank, and the bank makes better use of account executives.

Communicate the feeling
Web App (.NET)
Coca-Cola Uruguay has over 700 direct-employees. As in every big company, human resources management and internal communication is always a challenge, and they decided to face it with us alongside them.
Communication is key
Coca-Cola required us to create a solution to improve information fluidity between employees and collaborators, as well as sharing special events held by the company, such as meetings, birthday parties, and training, among other activities.
Development & partnership
We created a private intranet adjusted to their requirements. The project was developed over a period of two years, including maintenance and it held positive results regarding the distribution of their information as well as interest and involvement of their employees.

In-house product tracking, made simple
Web App (.NET)
Salus is the biggest water and drinkable products provider in Uruguay. They manage massive amounts of products bottled and printed every day, and they looked for us in order to find a solution to their biggest stock problem.
Lost products equal lost work
Every bottle produced at one of the Salus parks carry a tag along with them. Tags used to be printed yet when one of them went missing, the product was taken for lost as well. Salus reached out to us looking to solve this issue.
Going beyond expectation
The web platform takes care of managing the different tags, where they are placed, their expiring date, reports, internal messaging as well as printing them, solving their problem altogether, and providing tracking mechanisms to identify problems in their plants.

Lugagge location, easy as it gets

Luggage loss, solved
Paired with Samsonite, this app allows users to keep track of their luggage’s location through a device placed in it. And it also allows users to locate more than one suitcase, as long as each one of them has the device inside.
Added value
- Device pairing tutorial included in the app
- Multiple device pairing
- GeoTrakr device stats (on/off, battery, and Bluetooth usage)
- Help center & Samsonite marketplace in-app

Life quality improved & ensured
Native Android & iOS App
The main goal was bringing Sura’s services to a whole new level, and make them as available as possible to as much of their clientele as we could. This is when we decided to go for an iOS & Android app, where their main mobile services could be found in a drop of a hat, and also bring other not so simple services to an intuitive level.
To make this app a reality, we had to switch our thinking mode and put ourselves in the shoes of the clients, and when we did, a basic question arose: Is this an app that people would keep on their phones? Insurance services are not something that people use everyday unless they’re going through a rough patch, so why would anyone keep it in their everyday life, if they’re not going to use it? The answer came after some pondering, but it fitted appropriately to the whole concept: the app had to reinforce the concept of safety through it’s UX, just so clients would know, in case anything happened, they could solve it instantaneously.
The top services were listed in big and clear buttons in the main page of the app, and other services, such as a quick help phonecall, knowing how much would an insurance policy cost, monthly billing, etc. These worked out in an excellent way with the public, yet they brought surprises, as people started to test it, they wanted more. And so, the app started to grow adding services like keeping track of the state of cars in body shops, when the tow truck is arriving, or online bill payment, and keeps on growing to this date

The mall experience, renewed
Native Android & iOS App designed to locate the user, the store he/she’s looking for, and tracing the quickest route for them to get as fast as possible to the store.
Location, location, location
The mobile app is the solution we decided was best for the mall. The main feature within the app is the map. Designed to locate the user, the store he/she’s looking for, and tracing the quickest route for them to get as fast as possible to the store, without losing time. Another feature within the app is the store list. Every store gets its unique space for a description, picture, and also news, such as discounts or new products inside their catalog, keeping every user informed of any information they might find useful.
Fluidity and transformation
Malls usually change structure all the time, new stores open, spaces are divided or new ones are added. Melancia, being a recent one, is used to changing and expanding, and so, the biggest challenge we faced in terms of development, was keeping the map’s structure fluid and updated, with proper coordinates, so the tracing system would work efficiently in real time.

Redefining product visibility through merchandising
Merchants have a major role in the growth of products with massive sales, for they are the employees present at the Points of Sale and get direct access to key information, which is then used by marketing and sales departments to create strategies.
Firstly, it was creating a mobile app for merchants, where they can locate where the P.O.S. is through GPS, also gather, and save all the information regarding their product at the moment, with or without Internet Connection. The second stage came as an addition and a necessity that surged from the usage of the mobile app.
The web app adds task management and resource optimization to GuTrade. Higher-ups or the people in charge of marketing the product inside the company were now allowed to create tasks, assign routes and notes to merchants while keeping track of their overall performance in all of the previous tasks. The mobile app was also updated and expanded to interact with the desktop app, merchants were now able to receive all the things they should do in a day, straight from their managers, in a clean, straightforward and simple way.
The two previous platforms opened a new dimension where information about the status of the product in each P.O.S. is available in real time. Processing and showing this info in a visual and understandable way is the latest layer of GuTrade, where the sales and marketing team find the biggest benefit, take action according to the status of their product with no lags and no misunderstandings.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am an operations and IT manager at SURA Seguros, a big insurance company in Uruguay.
What challenge were you trying to address with Xseed Solutions?
We first asked Xseed Solutions to redesign our website. Due to their performance on that project, we extended the collaboration.
What was the scope of their involvement?
At this point in our partnerhship, Xseed Solutions has worked on a client’s site, a transactional platform, and a quotation tool. They’ve also developed Android and iOS mobile apps for both our clients and internal sales force. Xseed Solutions chooses the technology they want to work with, and we’ve never had any problems with their choices.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with 2–10 people at a time, depending on the projects and deadlines.
How did you come to work with Xseed Solutions?
We had a stringent selection process. I asked the Uruguay IT government bourse for references and they recommended Xseed Solutions.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent around $300,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in 2017 and finished the first project six months later. At that point, we were working with two different vendors, but we decided to commit to a long-term partnership with Xseed Solutions.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We are extremely happy with Xseed Solutions and the added value and expertise we’ve received. The development work they’ve done for us is among the best in our industry. None of the companies in this sector can compare to the level of design and usability provided by Xseed Solutions.
How did Xseed Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
The Xseed Solutions team offers excellent quality, while still adhering to deadlines. Since their office is near ours, it is easy to meet in person when needed. They are highly available and flexible, which is important to us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Xseed Solutions provides the technical skillset that we need. They do their research, follow best practices, and enhance our ideas.
Are there any areas they could improve?
At one point, we gave them too much to do within an extremely tight deadline. While we didn’t have to change the dates, they did give us feedback about it. We all learned something from this experience.

What challenge were you trying to address with Xseed Solutions?
We engaged Xseed to help us create the wireframes for the vision we had for our app.

What is the team composition?
We worked with two people closely, meeting with them every few weeks and communicating mostly over email.

I found Xseed at a startup matchup event in San Jose, Calif. After reviewing some of their work and going over our project with them, we knew they'd be a good fit for the job.
How much have you invested with them?
We're in the early stages of work and haven't invested anything since we're in a partnership with them that allows them to showcase their work.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them in late 2016 and finished the work in about 8–12 weeks.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They speak English very well and we never had any issues going over milestones through screen sharing meetings. It all worked out very well, even considering the difference in timezones.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They exceeded our expectations and delivered additional services outside the original scope of work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give them some guidelines and the creative freedom to do what they do best, because they're very talented.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the technologies manager of M de Mujer, an app for Hispanic women in the US. Some of the most important Latin American newspapers were also involved in the project.
What challenge were you trying to address with Xseed Solutions?
The challenge was launching different versions of our web and mobile apps for each of our target countries.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We came to them with an idea, and they managed to refine and organize it. Xseed Solutions developed a web app using WordPress, PHP, and SQL. They also built a mobile app for Android and iOS. The editors selected relevant content for each country and added it to our platform.
What is the team composition?
I had direct contact with four persons.
How did you come to work with Xseed Solutions?
I am also from Uruguay, so I knew about their company. After looking at other companies, we chose Xseed Solutions because of our affinity for them and the budget they provided.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent $40,000–$60,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We collaborated with them from 2013–2016.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
On a technology level, we’re quite happy. The app worked well, and we really liked it. Unfortunately, we had internal problems and could not continue with the project.
How did Xseed Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
We used an internal project management tool—a ticketing system—but communicated mainly via Skype. They were always attentive and available. In the beginning, the project seemed to be more expensive than expected, but we did manage to adjust our spending.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They contributed a lot and helped organize our ideas. We had a great experience, so I would work with them again if I had a similar project in the future.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The costs could have been lower.
Xseed Solutions consistently delivers output that surpasses expectations. The website and apps they’ve built have become industry benchmarks. The team’s scalability, reliability, and responsiveness set the foundation for a long-term partnership.
